What to do in Beitostølen in the summer

April, 3, 2018 | Travel in Norway

Our kennel & company are located 6 kms from Beitostølen, a traditional Norwegian mountain village, known for its 300kms of cross-country skiing tracks, as well as a downhill skiing resort.

Beitostølen has a lot to offer families, groups of adults and corparate groups.

Here are a few of our favourite things to do in the summer:

Horse riding

Downhill go carting: Race down the ski slope in a go cart.

A senic boat trip on Bygdin mountain lake, great to combine with a hiking tour or overnight stay in a mountain cabin.

Fishing: Rent a boat and spend your day catching mountain trout on Lake Øyangen.

Mountain Biking: Challenge yourself on the varoius mountain trails in the area.

Rafting: Thrilling whole day experience on the Sjoa river.

The whole area is situated between two of Norways national parks: Jotunheimen and Langsua.
