Tour Program

The spring months in the Jotunheimen Mountains (March to May) invites us with long days, great weather and majestic mountains known to be amongst the best for Randonnee and split boarding in Scandinavia. The "base" of the mountains are at 1000 meters level, making that winter holds a firm grip further into the spring.

The Natioanl Park is beyond the roads and approaching the mountains can be a tough and time consuming event. Most motorized traffic is banned in the majority of the National Park and nature is left pure an untouched.

With the assist of our 4-legged husky friends we have made the approach and transport between the mountains a great adventure in itself. As well as adding the obvious benefits of the husky teams to the tour. Packed in the sleds we bring with us all the needed equipment to make this a memorable and exciting "once-in-a-lifetime-to-do-list-expedition".

We normally decide to move between the mountains during the late afternoon and set up camp close to the next days mountain. Evenings are used for preparation, and early morning we set out towards the top.  For this part the huskies are left in the camp, under the supervision of our musher guide. Normally we ski/snowboard during the mornings hrs when snow has settled during the night, but this itinerart may change with weather/snow conditions.

Two guides accompany the entire tour. A musher & camp manager and an expert free-ride mountain guide. Which mountains to summit is decided as a group and after the currents weather and snow condiions and skills and expertise  of the participants.

Participants min/max: 3/6.
